Wild pansy. The province flower of Ångermanland. It has been used as cure for itching and rashes.
Beaver.The province animal of Ångermanland. The beaver was extirpated in the 19th century but has now returned through reintroduction. It gnaws on trees from which it builds ponds and huts. The beaver is a master at intertwining branches to make the hut warm and windproof.
Forge. There were many blacksmiths along the Ångerman River valley. The forge may symbolize them all.
Church stables in Nordingrå. Each farm had its own stable so that their horses could be fed and watered during the service.
Log driving. Carl von Linné was the one who proposed that the timber from the inland should be transported on the rivers of Norrland to the sawmills on the coast. Ångermanland is a forested landscape and log driving has therefore been important in the province.
Anundsjö belltower. It was erected at the church in Anundsjö in the 1750s by master carpenter Per Zachrisson. The church building is from the 15th century.
Slåtterdalsskrevan. A 40 meter deep and several hundred meter long rock crevasse in the Skuleskogen National Park.
The dragon ring. A ring in silver and gold from the Age of the Vikings.
The dog school. The school has trained our four-legged friends to be workmates and companions. The guide dog may be the representative for the service dogs.
The High Coast Bridge. It is one of the world's longest suspension bridges. It leads car traffic over the Ångermanälven on the E4. The bridge was inaugurated in 1997.
Räckeberg church A beautiful and interesting cave formation formed by ice rivers. It is found along the Arnästrail.
Sour Herring. One of the delicacies from the northern parts of Sweden.
Högbonden's lighthouse. Nowadays a hostel. You get there by boat and once you're up on the rocks you have an magnificant view.
Övra wilderness chapel. Used at the beginning of the 20th century both as a place of worship, school and teacher's residence. In the summer, midnight mass are held here.
Nipor. Sand formations along the Ångerman river valley.
V Ådalen 31. The Roman letter five may symbolize the five people who perished in the Ådal riots in the spring of 1931.
