The harbor seal is a species that occurs mainly in the northern Atlantic, the northern part of the Pacific Ocean and the North Sea. It also lives along Sweden's coastlines on the west coast and in the southern Baltic Sea. The harbor seal is Bohuslän's province animal.
Svinesund Bridge The old bridge was built in 1939–1942 and is 420 meters long with a sail-free height of 58 meters. The bridge was completed in 1946 and replaced the ferry that used to traffic the strait. The bridge is narrow by modern Swedish standards, but has sidewalks on both sides, protected by guardrails.

Strömstad City Hall is a granite building in central Strömstad that houses Strömstad municipality's administrations. The building was erected in the years 1912-1917 in Art Nouveau style according to Eugen Thorburn's drawings.

Hållö lighthouse. The lighthouse was built in 1842, as a round white stone tower. The lighthouse turned out to be too low as it was obscured by Sälö in the west. It was then contacted by lighthouse designer Nils Gustav von Heidenstam, who provided the lighthouse with a 5 meter high steel plate cone in 1868. The lighthouse then became 20 meters high and got its current light height of 39.2 meters above sea level. The lighthouse is owned by the Swedish Maritime Administration and since January 25, 1935 has been a National Monument.
Bohus fortress is now a ruin of a fortress, which began to be built in 1308 to strengthen the defense of Norway's then southern border. The ruin is located on a 40-meter high cliff on Bagaholmen in Nordre älv, about two miles north of Gothenburg
Fars hat is a hotel dating back to the 17th century. The hotel was opened in 1684, then as an inn with eight rooms, and today has 120 rooms. The hotel is located in Kungälv, a stone's throw from Fästningsholmen and Bohus fortress.

The Petroglyphs on Tanum's rocks is from the years 1800-500 BC. In northern Bohuslän there are around 1500 known rock carvings and new ones are constantly being discovered. A large and unusually varied part of them can be found in Tanum. Here, the archaeologists have found around twenty types of figures and motifs, for example bowl pits, ships, sledges, animals, people, palms, soles of feet, trees and weapons. The pictures describe the social life of Bronze Age people, their spiritual experiences, beliefs and rituals.
Nordens Ark is a zoo in Sotenäs municipality. The facility is run by Stiftelsen Nordens Ark as a breeding facility for endangered animals. The conservation projects are the backbone of Stiftelsen Nordens Ark's important work to preserve endangered animals. Nordens Ark has a public part that is open to visitors all year round and the number of visitors to the breeding facility is approximately 100,000 per year.
Lutefisk. The fish hangs to dry for about three months. It is then hung indoors in a dry and airy environment for two to three months to ripen. After drying, almost only 30% of the original water remains in the fish. It has thus not lost other nutrients, which results in large amounts of protein, vitamin B, iron and calcium in the fish
