Jämtland

Black  vanilla orchid, is a species of orchid and the provincial flower of Jämtland. It is a perennial species found in the major mountain ranges of Europe. Its population has declined in the past decades and since 1958 it is listed as an endangered specie
The moose is called the King of the Forest and it is perhaps not strange because it is our country’s absolute largest animal – and by far the largest deer animal in the world. The impressive crowns certainly contribute to the name as well. We have chased the moose in ancient times, and it has become something of a national symbol for Sweden. Storsjöodjuret "The Great-Lake Monster" in Swedish folklore, there is a lake monster said to live in the 90-metre-deep lake Storsjön in Jämtland.
Waterfall. There are many waterfalls in Jämtland. Tännforsen is one of Sweden's largest waterfalls, the waterfall is wild and it is 60 meters wide. The water falls 38 meters.
The winter trails are marked with guiding starts – crosses on posts. The guide posts are at 40-metre intervals and the crosses are around 150 centimetres from the ground. The national trail system consists of approximately 550 miles of marked trails, of which 194 miles are in Jämtland.
Åre's cable car makes Åreskutan Sweden's most easily accessible high mountain. About seven minutes' drive and you are at 1,274 m.a.s.l. with a magnificent  wiew over the mountain
