Öland

Hoary rockrose can´t be found anyhere else in the world other than Öland. The province flower follows the sun from morning to evening.
Nightingale the beautiful singing bird that many have heard but few have seen. Ölands province animal.
Neptune's fields  is a nature reserve in the north of the island of Öland. Located in  it consists of a long stretch of cobble beach  covered with blueweed which blossoms in June and July, coloring the entire area blue. 
Onions are one of the many vegetables grown on Öland
The troll's forest is a windswept, grazed pine forest and nature reserve in the northeast corner of Öland
Borgholm Castle is today only a ruin. The fortress was first built in the 13th century. The castle was destroyed in a fire on 14 October 1806.

The Öland Bridge, a 6072 metre long beam bridge. The Öland Bridge was built in 1972.
The European flounder is native to the Baltic Sea. It is normally found from the low shore  down to depths of about 100 metres on sandy, shingle or muddy bottoms.

Eketorp is an Iron Age fort located in southeastern Öland and extensively reconstructed and enlarged in the Middle Ages.

Långe Jan ("Tall John") is a lighthouse located at the southcape  of Öland. It is one of Sweden's most famous and also the tallest lighthouse in Sweden. Built in 1785.
