With this Boundweave we want to tell you about some of the stories Elsa Beskow has given us over a long life. She was truly a brilliant storyteller. The "Sun Egg" begins the cavalcade. The little fairy stands by the frog´s lake, surrounded by yellow water lilies and the Sun Egg in front. Next an edging of strawberries which, together with strawberries on a straw, frames a sitting girl. The girl is one of the "Children from Solbacka" released 110 years ago - 1898. In "The flower festival in the hill", Queen Rosa and her cousin Queen Näckrosa represent all the flowers. Most people knows about "Peter in Blueberry Land" and here he swings in the cobweb swing surrounded by blueberries and lingonberries. Next we see the celebrities Uncle Blue, Aunt Lavender, Aunt Brown and Aunt Green who diligently are working in their small town. Peter and Lotta are together with Uncle Blue to chop a christmas tree and Lotta gets a ride with Peter on his kicksled. "The Children of the forest" is one of our most loved fairy tales and here is Kajsa sitting on a rock in front of the cave, helping her mother with the lingonberries. The boys hide in the grass and little Tusse looks curiously out. In the little town, in sunshine is "Mr. Peters" house, with birdhouse on the roof new fence and magnificent lock on the gate. All the children were his friends and they helped him rebuild the house. A suitable finish is "Pelle's new suit. On the washing line, Pelle has hung his newly dyed yarn to dry. He has more skeins that simmers in the iron pot over the fire between the stones down by the lake.
