Tow yarns is made from shorter flax fibers. It gives the tow yarns a more rustic look than the smooth, perhaps a bit more elegant lingeries.
Tow linen yarn has the same properties as the lichen, they are stronger, have higher adsorption capacity and dry faster than cotton, but are less elastic. They feel cool, because flax has a higher thermal conductivity. They are wet strong.
Linen's natural luster appears more rustic with the shorter fibers in tow yarns.
The yarn is most suitable as a weft yarn, but can also be cast.
